Bali, Indonesia – August 25, 2023 – In a groundbreaking move that promises to reshape the landscape of sustainable transportation in Indonesia, PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara has announced its ambitious plans to further its cooperation with global giants E3 Mobility and Hyundai Kefico. The collaboration, which has been in the works for some time, aims to manufacture electric vehicles in Bali, marking a significant stride in the nation’s journey towards green mobility.
Today’s meeting, held on a sunny Friday, saw PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara engage in intensive discussions, signaling the company’s unwavering commitment to this monumental project. The air was thick with anticipation as Ibu Nyoman Ayu Cyntia Diantari, the Operational Director, accompanied by Bapak I Made Sudiana, the President Director of PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, addressed the gathering.
With a confident demeanor and a hint of excitement in her voice, Ibu Nyoman Ayu Cyntia Diantari expressed her optimism about the imminent realization of the joint venture. “Just yesterday, we had a productive session with PLN UID Bali, focusing on the ecosystem for two-wheeled electric vehicles. Today, we’re here with SENTRIK, Hyundai Kefico, DAT Mobility System and E3 Mobility brainstorming ways to synergize our efforts. Our goal is to manufacture EV two-wheelers, establish a micro-mobility ecosystem, and collaborate in areas of mutual interest. We’re inching closer to signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and are keen on enhancing local content (TKDN) in manufacturing, along with a technology transfer from Korea, which is a step ahead in this domain,” she remarked, her words punctuated by a warm smile.
PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara’s vision goes beyond mere distribution networks. The company aspires to make a more profound impact by venturing into electric vehicle manufacturing. While this colossal mission might span over the next 2-3 years, the wheels are already in motion. With a target to boost TKDN by 40% next year, SENTRIK is gearing up to face the challenges head-on.
The enthusiasm was palpable as Mr. Chun Jay Un of Hyundai Kefico and Mr. Kim Young Keun of E3 Mobility expressed their eagerness to bring local manufacturing to fruition in partnership with PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara. Both companies have pledged to exchange technical support, fostering a spirit of mutual growth and cooperation.
Hyundai Kefico is set to provide its state-of-the-art electric motor powertrain system to Sentrik. On the other hand, E3 Mobility, known for its business related to manufacturing EV two-wheelers in Indonesia, will work closely with SENTRIK in the realms of manufacturing, production, and future technical support. All of their role in this venture will be pivotal, supplying essential EV parts and components within Indonesia. Together, they aim to achieve a 40% increase in TKDN for their products.
As conveyed by Mr. Chun Jay Un on behalf of Mr. Kim Dae Sik, the founder of E3, “We, at E3, Hyundai Kefico, DAT Mobility, and PT Sentrik, are truly fortunate to have crossed paths and to have fostered such a collaborative partnership up to this very moment,” he remarked, gracefully concluding the meeting.
Aligning with SENTRIK’s vision – “To be Indonesia’s leading force in sustainable transportation, pioneering a future where electric vehicles are the heartbeat of the nation’s mobility landscape”. This potential joint venture, anticipated to materialize in the next 2-3 years, will serve as a profound testament to the company’s unwavering commitment. Bapak I Made Sudiana, the President Director of PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, summed it up eloquently, “This is not just about selling vehicles; it’s about building a movement.”
Drawing inspiration from a recent press release, it’s evident that PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara is not only committed to revolutionizing transportation but also to fostering a sustainable future for Indonesia.
