After successfully launching showrooms in two locations, namely Jalan Raya Kapal Mengwi and Badung, PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara (Electric Motor Vehicle Distributor) inaugurated its Showroom Center at Jl. Gatot Subroto No. 500 Padang Sambian Kaja, West Denpasar, Bali. The grand opening took place on Monday, 28th December 2020, with a modest ceremony that adhered to the government’s health protocols, ensuring no large gatherings.
Distinguished attendees of the grand opening included the Head of the Bali Provincial Transportation Department, I Gede Wayan Samsi Gunarta, General Manager of PT PLN UID Bali, Adi Priyanto, Senior Planning Manager of UID Bali, Putu Putrawan, Owner of Sentrik, I Made Sudiana, and General Manager of Sentrik, I Gede Pasek Wijaya. The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by the sounding of horns from four prepared electric motorcycles.
Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Sentrik remains optimistic, promising a new lifestyle of economical, practical, and pollution-free driving. The hope is that the public will become more educated and aware of the need for a healthy environment, seeing electric vehicles as the solution. Sentrik’s vision extends beyond Bali, with plans for expansion to Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara in 2021.
The establishment of the Sentrik Showroom Center in Denpasar signifies its commitment to support the Presidential Regulation No. 55 of 2019 on Battery Electric Vehicle Programs for Road Transportation, as well as the Governor’s Regulation on Clean Energy and the use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles.
General Manager Sentrik, Pasek Wijaya, stated that this is their third showroom within a year, making it the largest electric vehicle showroom in Bali, offering multiple brands. Among the brands available are Gesits, Volta, EcGo, U-WinFly, Sunrace, and electric scooters from Ford and Segway brands.
One of the main challenges faced in promoting electric motor vehicles is educating the public about them. However, Sentrik is optimistic that the community will welcome this initiative. In addition to providing a new mode of transportation that is cost-effective and environmentally friendly, Sentrik also offers a comprehensive program that includes sales, service, and spare parts, with after-sales and even home services for consumers.
The Sentrik showroom also offers test rides for potential customers, allowing them to experience the capabilities of these pollution-free electric motor vehicles. Electric vehicles have proven to be more cost-effective and energy-efficient compared to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.
