At the beginning of 2023, the Cooperative Body of Village Credit Institutions (BKS LPD) expressed its commitment to bolster Bali’s economy by endorsing zero pollution tourism. This sentiment was shared by the Chairman of BKS LPD of Bali Province, Drs. Nyoman Cendikiawan, M.Si., during his visit to the Electric Vehicle Distributor, PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, located at Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat No.500, Padangsambian Kaja, West Denpasar, Denpasar. He noted the increasing sophistication of electric vehicles in Bali and expressed keen interest in partnering with Sentrik to support the Governor of Bali’s initiative for zero pollution tourism.

This program aligns with LPD’s Tri Hita Karana concept, emphasizing the positive environmental impact of electric vehicles, which produce no vehicular pollution. Recognizing the potential benefits of electric vehicles for enhancing tourism quality in Bali, Cendikiawan plans to discuss with all LPDs in Bali to promote quality tourism. He revealed that LPD would soon host a significant event, the “Gebyar Hadiah LPD”, and if feasible, they would offer electric vehicles as prizes to LPD customers, demonstrating their support for the regional government’s zero pollution tourism initiative.

Cendikiawan acknowledged the need for new understanding and extensive socialization regarding electric vehicles to ensure the public comprehends their functionality. He believes that as more Balinese experience the cost-effectiveness and minimal maintenance of electric vehicles, many will opt for them. He compared the advent of electric vehicles in Bali to the initial introduction of automatic motorcycles, emphasizing the eventual widespread acceptance due to their environmental and efficiency benefits.

In collaboration with PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, the largest electric vehicle distributor in Bali, LPD aims to introduce a new program and business venture. They will present the benefits of electric vehicles concerning the environment, cleanliness, efficiency, and cost to LPD, emphasizing the alignment with the Governor of Bali’s vision for pollution-free tourism.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, Kadek Pande Yulia Sanjaya, believes that the collaboration with BKS LPD can provide education to the Balinese community. He also views LPD as a potential financing solution for the public. He expressed optimism about the partnership, noting the positive impact of the recent G20 summit on PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, as evidenced by increased customer visits.

In 2023, PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara plans to selectively offer high-quality electric vehicles with complete legal documentation. The Owner of PT Sentrik Persada Nusantara, I Made Sudiana, SH., M.SI., emphasized the widespread support for zero pollution tourism in Bali, especially from institutions like LPD that follow the Tri Hita Karana concept. He hopes the government will subsidize electric vehicles for the Balinese community and assures that they will only offer top-quality electric vehicles. They are also collaborating with a major factory to produce electric bicycles under the Sentrik brand, equipped with high-quality lithium batteries.
